Two trades, kept together on purpose
We paint and we hang paper. Around Quincy the two trades meet in nearly every old house: wallpaper has to come off before plaster can be repaired, plaster has to be sound before paint looks right, and the trim has to be finished after the paper is up. Keeping both under one phone number means the prep never falls between two contractors.
Our work runs from single bedrooms and stairwells to whole-house exteriors, two-families, offices, shops and condo buildings. Commercial clients get after-hours scheduling; homeowners get a crew that covers the floors, contains the dust and puts the rooms back.
How we work on old houses
- Every estimate starts with a walk-through, a look at the plaster and siding, and a test of the old paint.
- Pre-1978 surfaces are treated as lead paint: containment, misting, HEPA vacuums and a careful clean-up.
- Wallpaper is hung from a plumb line with matched seams, on walls that have been repaired and primed for paper.
- Exterior work is scheduled for the dry, warm part of the year, and interiors and paper run all winter.
- The phone is answered around the clock, so a leak, a closing or a tenant move-out gets a real answer at any hour.
